m/y LE PHARAON. A 55m Feadship built in 1989. Understood to be owned by Gaith Rashad Pharaon who is a Saudi businessman involved in the BCCI bank collapse and is wanted by the FBI. Following maintenance at Malta the yacht was intercepted off Pantelleria, near Sicily on 08/Jul/06 by FBI from the US Embassy in Rome and Carabineri from Sicily. They were looking for the owner but only found the crew on board. The yacht was noted to be LE PHARAONE in several news reports but that was incorrect.
